Selling Domain Names is Huge Business - Fox News
Video clip from a Fox News segment detailing some of the domain industry's most impressive recorded sales.
Fox News special feature about the domain industry from October, 2007. During the segment, the Fox News anchors spoke favorably about the domain business, highlighting the big profits some domainers are making from 5, 6 and even 7-figure sales of domain names that were at one point registered for between $10 and $25 dollars.
I'd like to thank Fox News for taking the time to shine the spotlight on the domain industry for a few minutes, and for doing such a fabulous job in terms of their coverage of the industry and the opportunity for huge profits that the domain industry provides to entrepreneurs and investors. There's not a whole lot of Wall Street investments that will ever return an investor anything even remotely close to the 1,000X ROI that some domain names have rewarded their investors with.
The message is every bit as applicable today as it was when the segment first aired in 2007, and perhaps even moreso. Since the U.S. economy began to tank, precious metals and premium domain names have been about the only two investments that one can really be confident about in this economy. With the dollar in danger of an outright collapse, betting heavily on any asset that is tied to the dollar (or any one currency for that matter) is a game of financial Russian roulette. Given the current price of gold, I'd stick the with digital investments until this whole Financial mess begins to recover.

Thought provoking, if nothing else. I'm a bit skeptical, but I guess if its on Fox News there's got to be something to it.
